What is a multi-station thermoforming machine? Application field
Multi-station thermoforming machine is a new type of machine developed by our company according to the needs of the market and customers. This machine is a multi-station automatic machine, which can simultaneously complete forming, punching and punching to obtain the final plastic products. The principle of thermoforming equipment machinery
Thermoforming is a plastic manufacturing process in which a thermoplastic sheet is formed into a specific shape using a mold
• The thermoforming process is quite simple, one is heating, the other is forming, but the shape changes
• Many different materials are available, including polystyrene, cellulose acetate butyrate, ABS, acrylic, PVC, polypropylene and polyethylene
• The process produces a high surface finish, but it depends on the mold surface finish condition
The thermoforming process can be broken down into two basic steps, heating and forming. The heating device consists of radiant heaters. The heaters are attached to the top of the device and placed equidistant from each other. The plastic sheet is the raw material used and is fixed on top of the mould cavity with the help of clamps. For deformation purposes, only vacuum or vacuum with air pressure is used to generate the force. No matter which process is used, holes are drilled in the bottom of the mold. The plastic plate is held in place by clips as the radiant heater heats the surface. When the sheet is soft enough, it is pulled into the mold by vacuum pressure. Due to the pressure, the sheet takes the shape of the mold and is removed after curing.
